Two related deliverables
The Cosmetic Product Safety Report addresses the product’s safety. The Product Information File is the wider record, including the safety report, manufacturing information and supporting product evidence. Organising a PIF does not replace carrying out a safety assessment.
Why the distinction matters in a quotation
A request for “compliance documents” can mean different things. Specify whether you need a new assessment, review of an existing report, organisation of supplied files or follow-up with suppliers. Ask which deliverables are included.
Keep the versions connected
The formula, report, label and other evidence should refer to the same product. When a formula or use changes, identify which documents need review rather than simply replacing a file in the folder.
Agree the handover
Confirm the current document list, unresolved questions and who maintains the file after delivery. The person responsible for product compliance needs a usable handover, not just a collection of attachments.
