Identify the product
List the product name, formula version, variants, intended users, application and target markets. Explain which variants share a base formula and what changes between them. This makes the requested scope easier to assess.
Collect the technical inputs
Prepare the quantitative formula, relevant supplier and raw material documents, available finished-product testing, packaging information and proposed labelling. Record gaps rather than replacing missing data with estimates.
Make the files traceable
Use clear filenames and dates. A laboratory report should be identifiable as belonging to the product or formulation being reviewed. Keep superseded formula and artwork versions separate from the current set.
Ask before commissioning extra work
The appropriate evidence depends on the product. Discuss missing information with the assessor before ordering additional testing. A checklist starts the conversation; it is not a guarantee that the file is sufficient.
Official references
Requirements depend on the product and market. Use current rules and product-specific evidence when making compliance decisions.
